I have no idea what is causing the bug,

The rake task "channels:synchronize" for this repo is causing it, only with ruby 2.4.0, the 2.3.1 is fine!

I have tried to isolate the problem, but before my rescue is called the ruby error raises, so I am inclined to believe it must be in a gem code.
