- How about `tally`?
```ruby
array = ['aa', 'aA', 'bb', 'cc']
p array.tally(&:downcase) #=> {'aa'=>2,'bb'=>1,'cc'=>1}
```
`tally` describes quite well to me what this method does and avoids clashing with `group` or `count`.
