=begin
I just installed 1.9.1 onto Mandriva 2009 (Linux version 2.6.27.10-desktop-1mnb (qateam@titan.mandriva.com) (gcc version 4.3.2 (GCC) ))
zlib is installed on the machine, details as follows:
Version: 1.2.3-12mdv2009.0
Currently installed version: 1.2.3-12mdv2009.0
Also installed is:
zlib1-devel - Header files and libraries for developing apps which will use zlib
Version: 1.2.3-12mdv2009.0
Currently installed version: 1.2.3-12mdv2009.0
Group: Development/C
Architecture: i586
Files:
/usr/include/zconf.h
/usr/include/zlib.h
/usr/lib/dietlibc/lib-i386/libz.a
/usr/lib/libz.a
/usr/lib/libz.so
/usr/share/doc/zlib1-devel
/usr/share/doc/zlib1-devel/ChangeLog
/usr/share/doc/zlib1-devel/README
/usr/share/doc/zlib1-devel/algorithm.txt
/usr/share/man/man3/zlib.3.lzma
Ran ./configure
Ran make
Ran make install
Ran make clean
Ran ./configure
Ran make
Ran make install
Ran gem install rails --source http://gems.rubyonrails.org
