Segmentation fault in garbage collector ruby 1.8.7 (2008-10-31 revision 0) [x86_64-linux]

When using C/C++ objects in ruby through SWIG wrappers the garbage collectors causes segmentation faults when run. Heere is a backtrace

Extension related problems cannot be identified without source code.
